Hi,
I am currently making representations of 3D weaves in texgen and was wondering how I can change the waviness of particular yarns in the structure in order to model some of them being stiff rods.
Any help would be gratefully received

Hello Yusuf,
If you want to affect the yarn waviness, you could just modify the node locations that the yarn passes through.

Code: Select all
Yarns = [CYarn(), CYarn(), CYarn(), CYarn()]
# Add nodes to the yarns to describe their paths
Yarns[0].AddNode(CNode(XYZ(0, 0, 0)))
Yarns[0].AddNode(CNode(XYZ(0.22, 0, 0.05)))
Yarns[0].AddNode(CNode(XYZ(0.44, 0, 0)))
