Dynamic explicit method

Dear colleagues.

Why the abaqus file, generated by the texgen software, uses the dynamic explicit method? This is always the best option for run a simulation? Or the dynamic implicit method could be also a good option?

Hi Ligia,

I assume that you're using the dry fibre export ( the voxel export uses a static method ). Basically it is our experience that, because of the number of contacts between yarns, the implicit analysis doesn't converge and may crash. You can try the implicit method but we have found the explicit analysis to be more stable.
