Hi Louise,
Just wanna clarify with you regarding the orientation in TexGen and AbaQus. I've constructed a dry fibre analysis and I also aware that TexGen orientation is differ from ABaqus. So, do the final output corresponds to ABAQUS orientation or TexGen? Because I'm confused with my output data. I imposed a transversely isotropic material to my geometry , thus I have G12 = G13 and E22 = E33 . The output that I 've obtained is like G23 = G12 (from ABAQUS output data) which supposely G12 = G13. May I know which is 1 2 and 3 refers to X, Y and Z in TexGen? Forgot to mention, Texgen defined as X,Y and Z (1, 2 and 3) but ABAQUS defined as X, Z, Y in counterclockwise.
Thanks .
Yanie

Re: TexGen - Abaqus axes orerintation
Hi Yanie,
The axes on the TexGen model and the Abaqus model should match. If you load a TexGen model into Abaqus you can see that the X,Y,Z orientations correspond.
