Sourceforge Project Upgrade

Post by louisepb »

The TexGen project is hosted on Sourceforge who have recently been upgrading all projects to the new "Allura" development platform (see here: http://sourceforge.net/blog/upgrades-april22/ if you're interested)

You will see that the project pages at http://sourceforge.net/projects/texgen/ look slightly different.

The main difference is that the code repository has been moved. If you have checked out the TexGen source code using SVN then you will need to change the URL for this. The new URL is: svn://svn.code.sf.net/p/texgen/code/TexGen/trunk

If you use TortoiseSVN in Windows it is probably simplest to do a completely new checkout using the new URL. (Alternatively you can try using the Relocate option but I couldn't get this to work on mine).

In Linux:
Newer versions of SVN can use the relocate command:

Code: Select all

svn relocate <new-repo-url>
Older versions will need to use switch instead:

Code: Select all

svn switch --relocate <old-repo-url> <new-repo-url>
You can get the old repo URL from the info command:

Code: Select all

svn info
Hope that all makes some sort of sense,
Louise
