Hi Louise,
I modelled a geometry with transversely isotropic material and I chose dry fibre meshing option to generate the input. However, I found that my model is hardly to converge (take more than a day) with the input that I obtained. I've tried by modifying the damping but it still didn't work. Is there any way to make the convergence faster?

Re: Analysis convergence
Hi Yanie,
You could look at the contact definitions and anything which causes non-linearities. I'm afraid this is outside my area of expertise so I can't be of much help. Section 7.2 of the Abaqus manual covers convergence criteria. Maybe that might help. Otherwise you'd probably be better off finding an Abaqus forum on which to ask the question.
Sorry not to be more help,
Louise
