Mesh resolution with highly-curved yarns

Post by Beun »

Hihi

(I'm sorry if this is the same problem as in http://texgen.sourceforge.net/phpBB3/vi ... ution#p995 but I wasn't sure)

I have some resolution problem when the yarns have a high curvature (see picture below). The resolution seems to decrease in areas where the curvature is high (in fact I would like exactly the opposite, but I would settle for a constant resolution). I still observe the discrepancy if I increase the resolution. Any idea why the resolution is not constant ?

Cheers
Ben

Hi Ben,

Could you send either the script or tg3 file for this yarn? I'm not sure what is happening here. The slave nodes (which govern the distance between sections in the rendering) are normally equispaced. Your image doesn't look like a TexGen one - could it be a problem with the way the yarn has been exported?

Best regards,
Louise

Hi Louise,
Thanks for your feedback. Here is the tg3 file, where I isolated the concerned yarn.
