Hi,

There isn't enough information here for me to be able to tell what the problem is. Could you send an example of the .tg3 file and the Abaqus files produced so that I can try and work out what the issue is?

Best regards,
Louise

Hi,

You should be able to attach them in a zip file. Otherwise you can email them to me.

Hi,
You could share the files via Dropbox and send me the link. Alternatively the TexGen file looks like the default plain weave generated by the wizard so if you tell me what you did to generate your Abaqus file (voxel, dry fibre, no of voxels etc) then I can try and replicate what you have done.

Can I confirm that you are running Abaqus from the command line as the files won't load properly in Abaqus CAE.

Best regards,
Louise

Hello, I export from texgen to abaqus in dry fibre, I put the voxel numbers 50 in x, y and z directions. Running abaqus, I import the abaqus file, then I submit a job for running. Thank you

Hi,
I assume that, as you specify the number of voxels, that by 'dry fibre' you mean that you have just selected the yarns for export using the Voxel Export option.
If by the 'interactive window' you mean Abaqus CAE (which would tie in with you saying that you imported a model and submitted a job for running) then, as I said in the previous reply, this won't work. You need to submit the job using Abaqus Command otherwise the orientation information won't be imported and CAE can't interpret the many to many node sets used in the equations in the .inp file. Instructions for using the voxel mesh file to predict material properties are given here: http://texgen.sourceforge.net/index.php ... and_Abaqus
I hope that helps,
Louise

Hi,
Without more detail it's difficult to say what might be causing this error. If you look in the .inp file created by TexGen you should see the load cases created. Try looking in the .dat file created by your Abaqus run and see if that gives you any more information as to what the problem might be.
Hope that helps,
Louise
