Hi Yanie,

As far as I'm aware the results from dataHandling.py should be correct. Can you compare the results from the script with those that you get if you do the calculations by hand? Where are the discrepancies?

Hi Louise,

I'm trying to get the material properties for a sheared weave. However, I received a message which saying 'IndexError: Sequence index out of range.' I also attached herewith the screenshot.

Tq in advance.

Hi Yanie,

Sorry for the delayed reply, I've been on holiday.

There is sometimes a problem with the thermomechanical step which I haven't managed to resolve as yet. You could try taking this out and see if your script runs then. If not get back to me with more details and I'll see what I can do.

Hope that helps,
Louise

Hello,

Please could you give some detail about exactly what you are trying to do? You need to be specific about your problem in order for someone to be able to help.

Best regards,

Hi,

If you look at the error message you will see that the error is in the effectiveMatPropRVE.py Python script. Have you looked at this file. The error indicates that it is using a variable 'ContinuumModel' which has not been defined. This should have been done earlier in the script. If you define this with an appropriate value for the case that you are using then the script should run.

However, which version of TexGen and these scripts are you using as the most recent ones do not use the ContinuumModel variable. It might be worth checking that you are using the correct script.

Hope that helps,
Louise

Hi,
You should be able to upload the script here. If you can do that then I can take a look at it.

I'm assuming that your TexGen job runs in Abaqus and that you've got a valid odb file which the scripts can interrogate?
