trouble exporting file from TexGen to Abaqus

Post by nicolo.bortone »

Good morning,
I am new on TexGen and i am having some problems with the export as abaqus voxel file.I get the following error message in the Python output:

<1> execfile(r"C:\Users\nicolo.bortone\Desktop\model_trial.py")
<1> Vox = CRectangularVoxelMesh('CPeriodicBoundaries')
<2> Vox.SaveVoxelMesh(GetTextile('2D_30_Degree_Biaxial_double2'), r'C:\Users\nicolo.bortone\Desktop\Nicolo' Bortone\model.inp', 50,50,50,1,1,0,0)
<!> Error compiling code!

Does anyone knows what is happening? Can you help me please?

Hi Nicolo',

I think that the problem is to do with the apostrophe at the end of your name! The Python interpreter will take this as being the end of the string and then won't be able to understand the remaining Bortone\model.inp part. I think that if you remove the apostrophe it should work. It looks line this may be in a folder name so you may need to change that.

Hope that helps,
Louise

No problem! It's not a stupid question if it's stopping you from getting your work done and you can't see what the problem is :) It took a few minutes for it to dawn on me what the issue was - not one that I've seen before!

Best wishes,
Louise
