Hello Dr. Louise,
There is one picture which i am really want to know how to create this model when i read the paper 'Modelling the geometry of textile reinforcements for composites: TexGen'.

Hello,
Instructions for creating this type of textile are given in the User Guide here: http://texgen.sourceforge.net/index.php ... e_3D_Weave
Best wishes,
Louise

Re: how to create this textile from GUI
Hello Dr. Louise,
I checked the User Guide.
Unfortunately, i cannot implement it. From the Weave panel, there is just one layer of weft and warp yarn. Cannot be two layers in the User Guide. And i also checked the 3D Weave panel, didn't work.
Could you please give me more support?

Re: how to create this textile from GUI
Hello,
If you create a 3D weave from the weave wizard then you need to add layers in the pattern dialog. If you right click on the boxes at the side of the yarn you will get the drop down menu and then you can choose the Add Layer option. If you click on the appropriate blue yarn it will give a dotted line and this is the cross-section that is shown at the bottom of the window. When you initially add a warp yarn it won't be apparent because it is displayed at the same location as the original yarn. If you click and drag it in the cross-section view at the bottom you will be able to move it. It should look something like the image below.
Hope that helps,
Louise

Re: how to create this textile from GUI
Hello Dr. Louise,
Thank you for your quickly feedback.
Now i know how to handle this topic.
There is another two related questions:
1. How to move those nodes when i found the weft yarns be a little curved? Please check the picture below: 2. Is it possibile to modify the cross section of this textile?
Have a nice day for you and your team!
