Post by rheld »

Has anyone tried to make 2D weave model using angles between bundles 25 degree?
I have attached two pictures and a video about my model, this configuration textile is about filament wound
process. Someone could give a support how could I make this in TexGen software ?

Hi,

I'm afraid that I can't access your pictures. A student did some filament wound type models some time ago. That was when the rectangular sections was developed so that very wide thin sections could be modelled and meshed well. Since then the functionality to adjust the angle of the cross-sections has been developed which may be useful for models with large angles between the yarns. I think I still have some of the models on one of my old hard drives but will need to look for them when I get back to work after the Christmas break.

Sorry not to be more help at the moment but happy to help in the New Year.
Best wishes,
Louise
