Compression analysis of plain weave

Hi Louise,
Hope you may be fine!
Suppose I want to achieve 50% compression along with the compression plate in the Abaqus dry fibre file (.inp file), i enter 0.50 only in the Z scale keeping the X and y scale as 0. When simulated this .inp file from the Abaqus Command Line, we got the value of displacement but did not get any value for stress(all stress value zero). Is there any modification required in .inp file before stimulating this from the Abaqus Command Line to get the value of stress? Please suggest.

Hi Mukesh,

I'm afraid that I'm not an Abaqus expert. I think that you should be able to extract the stresses by interrogating the .obd file but you will need to either consult the Abaqus documentation or find someone who knows more about Abaqus to help you with this.
