Hi Louise,

I have started using the 64-bit version, though I am still running into similar problems.

Interestingly, trying to export from the CF-PW-20.tg3 file I sent you I am also encountering an error, however when I run the python script (which I had originally used to create the same tg3 file) I am able to export a STEP file from TexGen without a problem.

Dear Louise,

I think I get the answer now when you say that one of your colleague able to export the Abaqus voxel input in Ansys. This is the issue that I'm aware of because I 'm afraid the boundary conditions will be implemented wrongly in Ansys. Thus, I guess I don't need to convert them into Iges or step files if it works well then.

Many thanks.

Hi Yanie,

The boundary conditions are exported for Abaqus input. I think that he strips them out and simply uses the geometry for importing into Ansys. Presumably you then need to create boundary conditions suitable for the CFD simulation in Ansys.

Hi Rob,

There are still issues with the 64-bit version but it seems to export STEP files in more cases than the 32-bit one. I'm starting to investigate this now. When I export from the CF-PW-20.tg3 file it will export the STEP file but it has errors in the geometry.

I'll keep you posted (I don't work Fridays so it will probably be next week before I have any progress to report).

Louise
