Hi Louise,
Ok, I went to "Section" and I can see the yarns are interpolated between positions. Let say "section at 0.25 and section at 0.75". I modified the number and the yarns changed a bit but I can't get the smooth interpolated yarns after several trials. What should I do then?

Hi Yanie,
Altering the number in the Section dialog will simply alter the position along the yarn at which that section is specified.
You have some fairly significant interpenetrations between your yarns. I don't think that just changing the cross-sections is going to solve this for you. I would have thought that you need to be looking at moving the node positions of your yarns. You will probably need some trial and error to arrive at something that gives you what you want.

Re: scripting the geometry
Hi Louise,
I tried to create the same geometry with GUI fully. Then, when it comes to alter the plane, suddenly the program became not responding and it got closed. I think it is fairly easy to generate the sheared geometry with GUI. But with this, I can't proceed more.
By the way, I already trial and error to the intersection. Perhaps I may do them wrongly. Do I need to click the two yarns that intersect each other in modifying the intersection values? How suppose it should be?

Re: scripting the geometry
Hi Yanie,
You will need to edit the node positions as described here: http://texgen.sourceforge.net/index.php ... e_Position
In order to help with the program crashing I would have to be able to replicate what you were doing. Is the error repeatable?

Re: scripting the geometry
Hi Louise,
I'll keep you updating with the progress. Yes, it is repeatable.
