Extraction of Material Properties using Voxel Meshing

A guide to using TexGen with Abaqus to calculate material properties is now available. This takes the user through the steps of producing Abaqus input files using a voxel mesh, running the Abaqus job and then using scripts supplied with TexGen to extract material properties from the Abaqus odb file.

I have a problem using effectiveMatPropRVE.py.
I saved my export abaqus file as "Voxel abaqus file" with the options setting as in the attachments file "Cattura.PNG".
After open the .inp file with Abaqus command line, i open the .odb file in abaqus cae.
When i run the script effectiveMatPropRVE.py in abaqus, error appear:File"C:SIMULIA/Temp/effectiveMatPropRVE.py",line47,in <module< if (ContinuumModel); Name error:name "continuumModel" is not defined.
How can I fix this problem?

There isn't a guide for calculating material properties a dry fibre mesh. There are some publications which give some information here: http://texgen.sourceforge.net/index.php ... _mechanics

Hello,

I'm not sure why this error is occurring. Do you have the most recent version of the effectiveMatPropRVE.py and dataHandling.py files? Have you changed the modelName in effectiveMatPropRVE to your file name (also noting that you can't have spaces in Abaqus filenames) and the SingleLayerRVE to False?
