Hello Louise,
I am performing some compression simulations in Abaqus on some models I exported as Dry Fabric from TEXGEN using the compression plates. I do have a big doubt though, all the reference papers posted on the TEXGEN webpage for fabric compression are done in an implicit solver (static, implicit step) but the abaqus output from texgen generates an explicit input file. The dynamics formulation works fine as expected, but the statics formulation gives a tone of convergence issues with the contacts. It is being a nightmare to replicate the results of the reference papers (implicit solver), can you provide a scheme or a working .inp for a simple Dry Fabric implicit compression simulation (Abaqus/Standard solver)? I want to test Hua Lin's non-linear model, but first I need a simple model that works to start.
Thank you,

Re: Fabric Compression & Abaqus solver
Hi,
Apologies for the delayed reply - I've been out of the office a lot this month. I'm afraid that Hua Lin left the department some time ago and I don't have access to any of her codes. I will see if anyone else in the group knows whether these might still be available.
Sorry not to be more help,
Louise
