Hello,
I have a question regarding exporting the model from TexGen to Abaqus. Actually, I export a model as an inp file to Abaqus. Then I try to import the model. However, the problem is it is created orphan mesh and I want to change the geometry, e.g. creating hole in plate. However, since it is orphan mesh I could not conduct it. There are two ways to change the model from geometry to mesh. However, it does not even answer. Could anybody help me?
Thanks

Re: Problem in exporting to abaqus
Hi Turan,
I'm afraid that I'm not an Abaqus expert so can't really help here. I think it is probably a question for an Abaqus forum.
Alternately you might be able to export the geometry using the Export STEP/IGES option use this in an external program. In this case you won't have the orientation and volume fraction information but it is possible to interrogate the TexGen model subsequently to obtain this once you've meshed your geometry.
Hope that helps,
Louise
