Hello everyone.
I designed a 3D composite in texgen. I import this composite in the Abacus program. Now I want to do a tensile test on it. I have also imported the elastic and plastic properties of resins and composites in the property in Abaqus.
My question is, I want the composite to tear and fail. Does anyone know what damage I should use for resin and fibers?
Because Without entering the damage properties of the composite is stretched and does not tear
For example, for fibers, if I use hashin. What damage should I use for the resin? Thankful.

Re: tensile test in abaqus
HI,
Try looking in Mikhail Matveev and Wout Ruijter's theses - these have information about modelling damage. You can find them here: http://texgen.sourceforge.net/index.php/Publications
Hope that helps,
Louise
