Get the surface model of matrix

Post by Wenbo Sui »

Hi,

Thanks again for your help. Now I'm trying to simulate the CT results based on the surface model from TexGen(ASCII STL). I can export yarn models with or without the domain. However, I didn't find how to export the matrix model. Now I calculate the matrix model through the Boolean difference between the bounding box and yarns' model, which is extremely time-consuming. Would you please let me know if there's any convenient method in TexGen to get the matrix? Thank you!

Hi Wenbo,
You can't get the matrix part from the surface export.
If you do a voxel or volume mesh export (either to .inp or .vtu format) then the yarns and matrix are exported as different element sets. I don't know if that would enable you to do what you need to. You can view the .vtu files in Paraview.
Best wishes,
Louise
