Query on Deleted Textile and generating .inp files using scripts

Post by Avi06 »

Hello,
I'm excited to join the forum and start working with TexGen. As someone new to the tool, I’ve been going through the well-maintained documentation to get up to speed.

Currently, I’m using TexGen scripting to generate .inp files for 2D woven composites, but I've encountered a couple of issues that I hope you can help me with:
  • After running the Python script, I see a message in the command line stating, "Deleted textile 'Textile_Name'". Is there a reason this occurs, and is it something I need to be concerned about?
  • I reviewed the code for generating Voxel files, but I’m unable to generate the .inp file with the script. The following error is displayed:
AttributeError: No constructor defined - class is abstract
I can still export the .inp files via the GUI, but since I have a large number of input files to process, scripting would be much more efficient.

Any guidance you can offer would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your time and help!

Regards,
Avinash

Hello,

Welcome to the forum!
Would it be possible for you to share your script so that I can see what you are referring to? It isn't immediately obvious what would be causing either of these issues so more information would be helpful.

Best wishes,
Louise
